Course Description

Effective communication is the cornerstone of successful leadership. In this engaging and interactive workshop, participants will explore the diverse landscape of communication styles within the workplace. Through self-assessments and in-depth analysis, individuals will gain insights into their unique communication preferences and understand how these styles are perceived by others.

Participants will delve into real-world case studies highlighting common communication challenges faced in professional settings and learn practical strategies to overcome them. The workshop culminates with the development of a personalized, long-term communication action plan, equipping leaders with the tools to foster a more collaborative and efficient work environment.

Course Outline

Leadership vs. Management

Discover the nuances between leadership and management through interactive discussions and icebreaker activities. We’ll delve into the distinct traits and responsibilities of each role, exploring where they align and diverge. This segment will help you understand how both leaders and managers contribute to organizational success.

Communication Challenges and Styles

Reflect on your personal experiences with communication challenges in leadership roles. We’ll analyze different communication styles—passive, passive-aggressive, assertive, and aggressive—and examine how each style affects team dynamics and leadership effectiveness. This discussion will provide valuable insights into improving your own communication approach.

Case Studies and Role-Play

Apply your learning in practical, hands-on scenarios. Through engaging case studies and role-playing exercises, you’ll address real-world leadership challenges and develop effective strategies for managing communication issues. These activities are designed to help you translate theory into actionable skills.

Effective Communication with Remote Teams

As remote work and diverse team dynamics increase, effective communication becomes more challenging. This workshop focuses on addressing these challenges by bringing together insights from leaders who face communication hurdles in the workplace. You’ll analyze issues related to building rapport and develop actionable strategies to enhance communication within remote teams.

Self-Assessment and Action Plans

Take a deep dive into your own communication style with a self-assessment exercise. Based on your findings, you’ll create a personalized action plan to enhance your leadership communication skills. This tailored plan will set clear, actionable goals for your ongoing development.
