Course Description
This series of one-day intensive courses offers participants specialized training in fall protection, aerial scissor lift operation, and boom lift operation. Each course combines classroom instruction with hands-on experience to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for safe and effective performance in their respective areas.
Whether you’re working at heights or operating aerial equipment, these courses will provide you with the confidence and competence needed to ensure workplace safety and compliance with relevant regulations
Course Outline
Fall Protection Training
- Overview of fall protection regulations, standards, and best practices
- Identification of acceptable anchor points and lifeline systems
- Selection and proper fitting of harnesses, lanyards, and other fall arrest equipment
- Practical exercises in fall arrest techniques, including proper harness donning, lifeline attachment, and rescue procedures
Aerial Scissor Lift Training
- Introduction to aerial scissor lift equipment types, components, and operation principles
- Pre-operation inspection procedures and equipment maintenance requirements
- Safe operating practices, including setup, positioning, maneuvering, and emergency response protocols
- Hands-on practice sessions using aerial scissor lifts under the supervision of experienced instructors
Boom Lift Training
- Overview of boom lift equipment types, features, and applications
- Pre-operation checks, including inspection of controls, hydraulic systems, and safety devices
- Techniques for safe operation of boom lifts, including platform positioning, elevation control, and navigating obstacles
- Practical exercises involving hands-on operation of boom lifts in various work scenarios
