INDUSTRY DRIVEN
Since 2016, we have been working with employers – both union and non-union shops, industry associations, social organizations, First Nations, government agencies, and regulators to build solutions to fill critical skills gaps.
RAPID RESPONSE
We work with clients who have immediate skills needs. None of our solutions are off the shelf. After collaboratively defining desired competencies, skills, and learning outcomes with you, we quickly build custom curriculum (training and skills development plans) to help your business achieve greater success. The goal of the training is to deliver skilled workers in a timely manner.
COLLABORATION
Larger institutions are not always able to respond to industry because their training is 2 to 4 yearsand it takes ages for a Program Advisory Committee to update a course.
Not only does NW Skills work with you, we can also work with your peers and partners to bring about more comprehensive solutions. Nothing is impossible.
HANDS ON
Theory is great, but we prefer hands on learning. In-situ learning in a realistic environment improves skills transfer. Participants will learn on real machines in real work life scenarios.
We also offer a comprehensive learning library with additional materials to reinforce skills through practice.

Every day the world becomes more and more complex. Individuals are not only expected to know more, they need to cope with more. We bring wrap around supports to our custom offerings to improve communication, comprehension, inter-cultural dynamic, and diversity. We also include supports to stress reduction and mental health. DIVERSITY
Did we mention diversity? We delivered training for groups of individuals from all walks of life and dozens of cultural backgrounds. We appreciate different learning styles and how people may work together. One example is working with a small team from 23 different cultures so they all have the same understanding of safety in a factory. We also focused on overcoming intercultural differences so team members could readily point out quality issues and share feedback.
